Wanderwood offers registered breeding stock, homestead animals, and feeder animals, with availability varying by species, breed, season, and the needs of the farm.

If there is a potential fit, we will provide details such as breed, age, lineage, registration status, health history, and intended use.

Irish Dexter Cattle
Our available cattle are primarily registered Irish Dexter heifers. We may occasionally have other cattle available, such as bull calves and proven cows, but those animals are less common.
Our Dexter cattle are triple registered with the American Dexter Cattle Association (ADCA), the Purebred Dexter Cattle Association of North America (PDCA), and the Legacy Dexter Cattle Registry. Cattle sold as registered breeding stock include genetic testing for parentage verification, congenital conditions such as PHA and BD1, and milk proteins including Beta Casein, Kappa Casein, and Beta Lactoglobulin.
Many of our Dexter cows are chondrodysplasia-positive. Potential buyers should indicate whether they are specifically looking for, or are open to, a chondrodysplasia-positive (BD1) heifer.

American Guinea Hogs
We sell American Guinea Hogs when available, including breeding stock registered with the American Guinea Hog Association (AGHA) and feeder barrows.
Our herd includes several sows and boars selected for lineage, health, conformation, and temperament. Each animal has different strengths. When piglets are available, we try to match buyers with animals that fit their goals, whether they are looking for breeding stock or feeder pigs.

Black Welsh Mountain Sheep
We offer registered Black Welsh Mountain Sheep ewe lambs when available. Registration is through the American Black Welsh Mountain Sheep Association (ABWMSA).
Our flock is managed as a dual-purpose heritage breed, but we prioritize stock suited for meat production, pasture performance, health, and soundness. Most lambs are retained or grown out for meat, so breeding stock availability is limited.
Ram lambs may be offered selectively, but ewe lambs are our primary sheep offering.

Dual-Purpose Goats
We sell registered Nigerian Dwarf doelings when available. Registration is through the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA).
Our Nigerian Dwarf herd is small, so availability is limited. We generally prefer to sell doelings but occasionally offer pregnant does in early spring. For newer farmsteads, we can provide informal, remote support throughout their first kidding season.
Our buck carries the ADGA Superior Genetics designation, a performance-based recognition for animals with strong production and type indexes within the breed. He is also polled, meaning naturally hornless. About half of our kids are polled.
